About This Item
(McGary Studios, Ruidoso, New Mexico, 1997). Quarto. 150 pages, Profusely illustrated with many in color. His sculptures are among the best in Southwestern depiction of American Indians (see his Lakota Woman). He was adopted into a Lakota tribe and later as a young man he studied bronze work in Verona, Italy so it is no wonder the book was printed there. His work is well represented in the Autry Museum of Western Heritage as well as the Buffalo Bill Historical Center. A near fine copy of a book that is uncommon. Bound in 1/4 black cloth over black cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, in near fine pictorial dust jacket.
