Signed by Stephen King on the half-title page and inscribed, "For Susan-- Best Wishes 4/2/83" and inscribed by the illustrator Michael Whelan on the title page, "For Sue Happy Trails!! '83". Bound in publisher's brown cloth lettered in gilt. Very Good with staining to board and texblock edges, light soiling to cloth. In a Near Fine dust jacket with minor crease to front panel at joint, light edge wear and minor foxing to verso. The first book in Stephen King's Dark Tower series, signed by both the author and the illustrator.
