Quite attractively bound in a tan linen cloth, with sharply and distinctly stamped gilt lettering to cover and spine, sharply beveled edges all around. Bright and shiny dust jacket, illustrated, showing mild wear and moderate sunning mostly to spine, some light soiling to front panel, else protected by a plastic coat, dust jacket not being price-clipped. First Edition, quite scarce, Volume Two only. Number 194 of 450 copies, a tall, thick, massively heavy quarto volume, set in Antique No. 1 and printed on specially made paper by H. Wolff, New York. 404 pp. Illustrated with reproductions of 177 prints, 24 in color, the plates having been made and printed by Zeese-Wilkinson Company, Long Island City. The sub-title reads as follows: "A Review of Selected Prints, Consisting of Further Notes on Their Production and Rarity, and on New Developments, Completing the Chronicle of the Firm, and Notes on Lives and Times Revealed in the Prints, Giving a Glimpse into the Greater Chronicle of the American People, with Reproductions of 177 Prints, 24 in Color, and 1600 Newly Discovered Titles to Be Added to the Checklist, Here Corrected and Complete to Date." Complete with the original publisher's simple, sturdy, Very Good condition slipcase. This is the most comprehensive study of stone lithography ever produced to that point.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards.
