Historical fiction opening in August of 1805 along the Mississippi River. Lewis & Clark have left to explore the Northwest, requested by President Thomas Jefferson. Zebulon Pike, at 15, was first inspired to join another expedition to explore the northernmost reaches of the Mississippi. They embarked 2 years later, with Zebulon commanding 20.
