[Michigan], c.1863. Fine; some light browning.. A Civil War-era song sheet composed from the point of view of an amputee by V. W. Bruce, Co. A., 17th Michigan Infantry. Sung to tune of "By cool Siloam's shady rill", the lyrics lament the loss of a foot "which proudly tread / The soil of Tennessee" and served its owner well. Printed on wove paper (12" by 4.5") in single column with typographical border. Two copies in OCLC (Jan. 2022).
