Hammond; "Slavery in the Light of Ethnology" by S.A. Cartwright; and "Slavery in the L ight of International Law" by E.N. Elliott. Reprinted in 2017-18, this first edition is quite scarce with only four copies in OCLC . Howes E108. . partially split with an old, clumsy repair by scotch tape; numer ous cracks, chips, damp stain; inner hinges cracked but intact. Interior: Prior owner’s inked signature on ffep, pencil notatio ns on fep; substantial dampstain to the blank pages at front, ext ending to frontispiece and title page and fairly disappears after that. Text block substantially clean and tight but Titlepage and frontispiece foxed; little to no foxing after that except for th e several portrait frontispieces and title page introducing each of the six major sections, which were printed on different stock. .
