Vol. 1, New York, Harper & Brothers, no date stated. 375 pp. Vol. 2, New York, Harper & Brothers, no date stated. 367 pp. Vol. 3, New York, Harper & Brothers, 1873. 219 pp. Vol. 4, New York, Harper & Brothers, 1873. 234 pp. Vol. 5, New York, Harper & Brothers, no date. 8vo set. Uniformly bound in brown blindstamped cloth with gilt spine titles, though three volumes lack a stated date. Former library ownership card on front paste downs, library stamp on each ffep, and remnants of library plates on spines and rear paste downs, but remarkably clean nonetheless. Rubbing, edge wear, and faint staining to boards. Internals clean. Altogether a handsome set in very good condition. Very Good. (Subject: History of Science).
