About This Item
E.M. Ruttenber & Son, 1873. Hardcover. First Edition. 8vo. [2] iv. 200pp. Profusely illustrated with steel engravings. Bound in the original publisher cloth with gilt titling and decoration. A history of Cornwall, New York by an eminent resident, Lewis Beach, who was the U.S. representative for the 14th and 15th congressional districts of New York from 1881 to 1886. VERY GOOD. Shows the head and foot of the spine gently shelf rubbed, the occasional light handling mark of the cloth, just a touch of foxing to the endpaper, otherwise the binding is strong and tight, the text and engravings are clean and unmarked having been very well maintained, the boards remain bright and distinct. As pictured.
