The Roycroft Shop, 1908. First Thus. Leather Binding. Near Fine. Copy #733 of 1000 sets of the Author's Edition, each volume signed by Elbert Hubbard. Includes two mounted leaves of Hubbard's original pencil manuscript (on Jonathan Swift) bound in Volume I. 10 volumes, complete as issued 1908-1911 (the set continued to a further 10 volumes through 1915). Beauifully bound in heavy blue and brown crushed morocco (5 blue, 5 brown - as issued), spines with raised bands, spines and covers decorated in gilt and blind, top edges gilt (minor rubbing). A striking set of these beatiful quarto bindings. Illustrated throught; each chapter opens with one of Dard Hunter's stunning initial letters, used here to their best effect in any Roycroft work.
