Tan basket weave cloth covers with titles stamped in a cream color with ducks in flight motif, very attractive. Top edge gilt, foredge of pages rough cut, color frontispiece with tissue guard by Thomas Blinks, fully illustrated with practical drawings and diagrams and with many illustrations in half-tone, 360 pages. Text in two parts, Shore Shooting part one, Punt Shooting part two. Chapters on guns, the gun room, the law, dogs, shore shooting-hutting, working longshore, calling, decoys, migration and movements, Punt Shooting as a sport, punt-guns, accessories, dangers, muzzle-loading and breach-loading punt guns, punt carriages, wagons and houses, sailing craft and motor-punts. Large section at rear on the birds with illustrations.
