Description:
Boston: Russell, 1793. 18.75 inches tall, 4 pp, very good, light wear. First page with European news, Prussia annexing part of Poland, a new constitution in France and debate about the rights of man at the French national convention, Russia, Sweden, Holland, etc. The second page has a long and interesting discussion of slavery and how it goes against everything the new republic espouses. A suggestion is taken up by the author as to the viability of repatriating slaves back to Africa, but the question of how such transport would be paid is a sticking point. The rest of the paper is taken up with ads, notices and the like.
