Good + brownish cloth hardcover (no dust jacket) with gilt to cover and spine shows mild rubbing and soil to covers, bumping to top corners, light soil at page edges, name at front pastedown, bookplate at front endpaper, wear along inner hinges, occasional spot soil at interior and other light trace wear. 698 pages. Still a solid copy of this novel from the noted British author known as much for his criticism as for his fiction.
Synopsis
The Clayhanger Family is a series of novels by Arnold Bennett, published between 1910 and 1918. Though the series is commonly referred to as a "trilogy", it consists of four books; the first three novels were released in one single volume as The Clayhanger Family in 1925.
