About This Item

From inside dust jacket:

More than any other conflict the Civil War tore at the fabric of American life. There was no way to stand outside the conflict; it changed everyone's life, North & South. Out of this shattering ordeal came many strange and interesting stories. The Civil War: An American Iliad gives us these stories in the participants' own words. Thus the entire volume speaks with an immediacy that ordinary historical accounts can't rival.

Very Good condition. Text is clean and binding is tight. There is a small tear in the binding, 1/2" down from the top front. There is a tiny stain on the bottom of a few pages (edge only). There are some dents on a few page edges that can be seen when the book is closed.

Dust jacket - very good condition. There is a small tear in the dust jacket in the top binding area. There is a small tear in the back of the dust jacket.
