No date, Collier, Vol. 20, "Christmas books and stories" in gilt on spine and "Christmas Books: The Haunted House" on title page. Illus. frontis by John Leech. Includes: "The Chimes", "The Cricket on the Hearth", "The Battle of Life", and "The Haunted Man and the Ghost's Bargain." Brief edgewear. Binding tight. Page edges with closed tears at margins of 12pps. Text unaffected. At least one other illus. in addition to the frontis.
