Berdyaev is considered by many to be one of the most important thinkers of late 19th, early 20th century Russia. His writing engages with themes both philosophical and theologicalthe spirituality of human freedom in contrast to the historical determinism of Marx and Leninand places him under the anachronistic umbrella of Christian Existentialism along with previous thinkers like Soren Kierkegaard.
In Christianity and Anti-Semitism Berdyaev observed that for Christians, the Jewish question does not consist in knowing whether the Jews are good or bad, but whether we are good or bad (Gary Saul Morson, Mosaic, 2020)
CONDITION: Good+ in original wrappers, chipping along edges, splitting along fold with archival tape reinforcement along hinges. Title page with triangular crease and slight closed tear of about 1 cm to edge.
