New York, NY: Random House, 1964 [1965]. [Childrens classic] Octavo (22 x 15cm), pp.118. Dated 1964 but issued in 1965. Publisher's hardcover, top edge coloured black, in pictorial jacket. This is the Book Club issue (often mistaken as the first US edition). Exhibits some minor toning and handling; price-clipped as usual for this issue, but with no ink inscriptions. Near fine. This American edition comprises all three adventures, which were issued separately in the UK from 1964-1965. A similar UK omnibus did not appear until 1971. This is one of two 1965 U.S. Book Club Editions. This copy is from the Ian Fleming Bibliographical Archive assembled by Jon Gilbert (pencil signature within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Gilbert A17b (2).
