London: Pan / Piccolo Books, 1968. [Childrens classic] All three adventures in one volume. FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, SIGNED by the illustrator. Oversize trade paperback, handsomely rebound, bibliographer's copy with his pencilled ownership. Octavo (22 x 18cm), pp.123; [3], blank. Illustrated by John Burningham. Hand-bound in half mid-green oasis morocco with raised bands to spine, gilt rules and titles, matching cloth sides, publisher's 'double format' softcovers preserved at the rear. A few small spots to half title, exterior as new. A near fine copy in an attractive recent leather binding. Ink signature of John Burningham (obtained in person by Fleming's bibliographer Jon Gilbert). This is the first single-volume paperback to be published in the UK, specially bound for the bibliographer, with his pencilled note and ownership signature to free endpaper. Gilbert A17a(13.1).
