London, 1871. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good. Printed by The Graphotyping company, Ltd. A monthly periodical magazine started in 1870. This Book has all 12 editions of 1871 bound together. Sm 4to, pp142 complete with 26 chromolithographic plates (2 for each month, frontis and title page) and b/w illustrations throughout. Hardcover no dust jacket as issued. Decorative blind stamped green boards with colour inlay to front board of a "Shepard boy" surrounded by gilt decoration. Binding in good condition with a little marking to back board and a little fading to gilt on spine. Inside in very good condition with previous owners signature to ffe paperand the odd spot of foxing and the front hinge starting to crack but binding still tight, all pages with full edge gilt.
