Reprinted 1928, second edition published 1948; third edition 1960. Chess pages 1-122. An elementary primer. Contents: The rules; elementary tactics (value, powers of the pieces, etc); general principles of strategy (opening, middle-game); illustrative games, and problems.
Condition:
Page ends stained. Jacket spine sunned, edge wear with some closed tears. A very good copy in a very good scarce jacket.
