Boston: Philip Sampson and Company, 1853. Later Printing. Full Leather. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo. Original beveled wood boards bound in black leather with gilt title and rule to ribbed spine, blind stampped decorative border to front board, gilt to three edges. Illustrated with engravings. Spine rebacked, chip top corner of title page, paper browning very slightly and with some small tears and some crumbling to page edges, the more extensive have been filled, foxing to plates and adjacent pages, plates offset to tissue guards.
