Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.

Photoplay edition issued to coincide with the British release of the classic MGM film starring Wallace Beery and Jackie Cooper as the worn out prize fighter and his loving son. Very good in a dust jacket with small internal repairs. The panel has a photograph of Beery and holding a somewhat limp Cooper in his arm against a bright white background with read lettering. Very scarce photoplay.

London: The Reader’s Library, n.d. [1931]. First English Photoplay Edition. An editor’s preface describes and praises the MGM film. Pages a little yellowed as usual, else very good in dust jacket. The jacket illustration is a scene from the film with Wallace Beery and Jackie Cooper.
