Hardcover. 142p., first edition, original blue cloth with minor edge wear else bright, very good condition, The browned, brittle and soiled dust jacket is tattered and torn, now pieced together in mylar in 5 separate sections with loss (including some text) along all tears and folds. Still, the jacket has served its original purpose over the years, protecting the book and serving to preserve one of the brightest example of the cloth we have seen. *Ahouse A8a. An early Socialist movement published Sinclair title rarely found in jacket. The jacket's poorly thought out tag line advertising the book as "Worse than 'The Jungle.'" could serve to explain its scarcity.
