London: Macmillan & Co. Ltd.. Good in Fair dust jacket. 1963. First Edition Third Printing. Hardcover. 127 p. 22 cm. Sound and square binding in green, cloth-covered boards. Slightly cocked. Corners bumped. Front free endpaper is missing. Inside pages are clean, bright and unmarked. Dustwrapper has had the front flap torn off, and is reattached with cello tape. Wear to head and foot of spine, less so to the edges. Some overall rubbing and soiling. Not price clipped. The first of the children's series about the Cameron children by Scottish writer Jane Duncan (pseudonym for Elizabeth Jane Cameron). The children travel to their aunt's in Jennyville, Scotland by train where the adventures begin. Jacket and black and white internal illustrations by Victor Ambrus. .
