Flat signed by the author for the Signed First Edition Society. Fine with slight fading to gilt edges. Full blue leather binding with gold embossed design and gold lettering/design on spine. Blue ribbon sewn in; blue marbled endpapers. Issued without dust jacket.
Synopsis
The Call is a novel about an American missionary in China from 1906 until the 1950's. This fictional biography is about David Treadup, a composite character based on multiple missionaries to China. It is supported with diary entries, letters, articles, staff minutes, and other bibliographic accounts.
