Bound in half brown leather with red title label and bright gilt titles, this 1819 hardcover Privately Printed First Edition is close VG. 142pp A long narrative poem with extensive footnotes.Plus 56pp short verse pieces by same author i.e, On War, British Liberty, Translated from French, Hymn, Croma, Pastoral, Recreations etc. Also, bound up with this volume: "The Eccentric Magazine", A Collection of Anecdotes, Epitaphs, Bon Mots, Coundrums etc. Privately Printed in Aberdeen, 1820 by Alexander Laing and with local Scottish theme. Some damage to spine at junction of rear board and spine: two small section missing approximately 6cm x 0.5cm. Raised bands to spine, marbled edges, clean ednpapers, small chips to top of spine, binding sound and otherwise VG . Very Good. Hardcover. First Edition. 1819.
