About This Item
New York, NY Silver, Burdett and Company, 1907. Hardcover Very Good: Shows indications of careful use: very light wear to the extremities; faint soiling to the top of the rear panel; very mild rubbing to the panels; the pages have tanned a bit, due to aging, but the paper quality is high and the binding is strong; the text is clean. The front free endpaper has been carefully removed, as the book opens to the back of the frontispiece portrait of Caesar. That said, remains free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tighly bound, showing only mild wear and a couple of minor flaws. Remains remarkably close to 'As New', considering its age. NOT a Remainder. NOT a Book-Club Edition. NOT an Ex-Library copy. 8vo. (7.65 x 5.25 x 1.3 inches). xxxv, 464 pages. Liberally illustrated with glossy color and black & white illustrations, color maps and battle formations. Prepared, Edited by Walter B. Gunnison, Ph.D., and Walter H. Harley, A.M. Language: Latin and English. Weight: 1 pound, 6 ounces. Quarter Leather with Green cloth boards. Black titles and designs at the front panel; gilt titles on the Leather backstrip. Hardback: No DJ 'as issued'. Hardback: Quarter Leather.
