Near fine hardbound book and dustjacket with small crease on the inside back flap of jacket.Book has crisp, clean interiors free of any markings. Signed by author with inscription to June, dated 1990 on the title page. Included with the book is a letter from the author concerrning scheduling a talk about the work which includes a text of the presentation and a list of lectures from 1982-1989, shows from 1981-1989. letters held together with paperclips which have left an indent, small corner creases on letter. 118 pages 8.5"" X 11.25"" X 0.75"" Memoirs and paintings by a Jewish artist from Munkach in Carpatho-Ruthenia (now Ukraine), which came under Hungarian rule in 1939. Furth describes the experiences of her brother in Hungarian labor battalions, and the deportation of herself and other members of the family to Auschwitz and Bergen-Belsen. Includes photographs of 60 paintings and sculptures by the artist.
