About This Item
NY: St Martins Pr, 1977. First. Hard Cover. Yes. First edition of THE AUTHOR'S FIRST BOOK and the first in the popular and enterrtaining series of vintage Hollywood mysteries featuring hard boiled private eye Toby Peters. The place is Tinsel Town and the time is 1940 and Peters is called in by Warner Brothers to protect Errol Flynn from a blackmail plot. Soon bodies are being littered about and Peter Lorre, Sidney Greenstreet and Humphrey Bogart play a part in the novel's denouement on the set of "The Maltese Falcon". A fine, tight copy in a crisp, bright dust jacket. A very collectible copy indeed.
