About This Item

326 Pages. Seventh Printing. No Dust Jacket.
This is a very interesting book on the men involved in World War II written by a war correspondent who was in the battles with them. The exterior of the book has some worn areas on the top and bottom of its spine, light wearing marks on all four corners, and some soiling on the front and rear covers. The interior book, however, other than the pages being lightly browned and having a former owner's name and 1945 date inside the front cover, has no further visible extraneous markings or other distractions throughout the book and thus all of the printing remains in a very well-preserved and enjoyable condition and the book's bindings are tight and therefore are sound.
If you should order this interesting viewpoint on WWII from us, it will be carefully wrapped up, then padded and boxed, and mailed right away to you, and will come with our true appreciation for your order.

Synopsis

Newspaper columns reveal the journalist's first-hand accounts of trench warfare, field hospitals, destroyed cities, realities of being a soldier, and the frontlines of battle during the fighting in Europe from 1943 to 1944.

The war from the view of the average soldier, captured by a writer on the beaches beside them.
