London: Arthur Hall, Virtue and Co., 1859 A good copy of this interesting book. 516pp, gilt edged, copiously illustrated throughout with wood engravings. Green cloth with the complex gilt blocked design of the renowned John Leighton to front and back with his signature initials within the scallop shell. Recently rebacked with the original spine relaid. End papers and paste downs foxed otherwise very good throughout.
