London, 1903. First Edition. Hard Cover. (London: Maclaren & Sons n.d. [1903]). First UK Edition. Publisher's olive-green cloth with gilt lettering to the front board and black lettering to the spine. Illustrated with 48 superb full page colour plates of cakes and black and white text illustrations and with numerous advertisements at the rear of the book. Patterned end-papers. Soft spine tips and foxing to the page block edges but with the interior really clean (especially the coloured plates). Boards exceptionally bright and un-faded. Firm hinges. No inscriptions or book-plates. Overall a most attractive VG++ copy and VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. This is a very heavy book which may attract additional postage particularly for orders emanating from overseas. Photographs/scans available upon request.
