First US edition, first printing hardback in dustwrapper. 23.5 × 15.5cm, 198pp. Signed directly to the ffep by Robert Barnard. In the Soho studio of Bodies magazine are found four corpses: a photographer, his assistant, an actress-student and a young bodybuilder. Perry Trethowan of London's CID can't discern a motive for the murders and soon finds himself involved in the seedy world of competitive body-building and a sinister operation behind Bodies magazine. Condition: A good solid copy, there are a few spots of foxing to the page edges but otherwise a clean copy.
