Santa Barbara: Capra Press, [1978]., 1977. First edition. First softbound edition. Inscribed by the author. With an afterword by Henry Miller. Pictorial wrappers, 128pp. The famed California librarian and bibliophile's first novel -- a tender love story set in Paris in the 1930s. The book was written when Powell was 35, but not published until he was 70 years old. In the afterword section by Henry Miller, a former owner has penciled in notes in the margins, else very good copy.
