Spine pronouncedly cocked, without affecting the soundness of the binding; head and heel of spine and corners of boards lightly bumped, page edges tanned, previous owner name on halftitle page. Jacket present but Good only (sunned, rubbed overall, soiled at rear; edges and folds bumped, notably at rear top edge; small open scuff on rear fold; upper edge appears to have been trimmed about 1/8"). Note: After a good airing and careful exposure to sunshine a very slight cigarette odor has been eliminated to the bookseller's satisfaction; it may be perceptible to a more sensitive nose. Second (hardcover) printing, September 1973.
Synopsis
Bless Me, Ultima is a novel by Rudolfo Anaya, published in 1972. It is part of a trilogy along with Heart of Aztlan and Tortuga. It is included in the list of most commonly challenged books in the U.S. It is also important for helping Chicano literature gain academic respect as an important and non-derivative type of American literature.
