Pages are clean and unmarked; a couple of pages have spots on the lower margin. Charles Scribner's Sons hard cover, missing dust jacket; first edition, first printing 1929; 349 pages. 8vo (5.25"" x 7.5"") The Bishop Murder Case, Philo Vance #4 first published in 1929, preceded by The Greene Murder Case, and followed by The Scarab Murder Case. Filmed in 1930 with Basil Rathbone as Philo Vance.
