Publisher's original green cloth (vol. 1) and red cloth (vol. 2), lettered in gilt on the spine and with gilt map of South America decorated with birds on the front cover, color pictorial dust jacket with map of South America full of color illustrations of birds, thick sm 4to. These two volumes cover over 1700 species of South American birds in great detail. No other ownership marks and no signs of use.
