London, 2010. First Edition. Hard Cover. Dust Jacket. (Swanage, Dorset: Norman Wright 2010). Andrew Skilleter (illustrator). First Edition Thus. SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Limited to 300 copies, of which this is number 256. SIGNED BY THE PUBLISHER & THE ARTIST WITH AN ORIGINAL REMARQUE SKETCH. Originally published in hardback in 1966, this is one of the harder-to-find Biggles titles, and is here reprinted in hardback for the first time. The new dustwrapper is by Andrew Skilleter, who also drew the black and white frontispiece, SIGNED by the illustrator and publisher to the title page. A very fine copy in like dustwrapper. As new. This copy is enhanced by a drawing of an Auster monoplane to the front free end-paper by the Artist. Scarce with these attributes. A lovely copy. Photographs/scans available upon request.
