Sidgwick & Jackson Ltd. 1914. square8vo. 22x 18cm, xix,82p., title page vignette (Pepys bookplate), I plan, index of printers, fine linen backed light blue paper over boards, ex-library with plate & accession label, boards slightly dust worn still very good (bib.ds). ~ Limited to 500 sets. The library of diarist Samuel Pepys (1632-1703) consists of nearly 3,000 books. A unique collection exists in perpetual trust at Cambridge University. A plan of the Library is in the very substantial Introduction. This volume is part of a four volume set.
