Book #11 in the girls' series of 26 books orig. published 1934-1955, featuring the adventurous Beverly Gray, starting when she was a college student & following her through her career as a reporter. Orig. published in 1941, this is a later G&D reprint (listing to BG#14 on front flap): thinner, with dark green cloth over boards lettered in black to front & spine, in 250 pages. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, commensurate with age & wartime paper quality (statement to title page), but completely unmarked. Slight rubbing to extremities, bumping to all corners & both ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is Good+: bright & clean, with many small chips, light rubbing & creasing, spine fading; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
