Book #6 in the girls' series of 26 books orig. published 1934-1955 featuring the adventurous Beverly Gray, starting when she was a college student & following her through her career as a reporter. Orig. published in 1936, then reprinted by Grosset & Dunlap, this is a slightly later printing of their First Edition, listing to BG #8 in front matter & BG#12 on front DJ flap. Medium thick hardcover has the dark blue cloth-covered boards lettered in black to front & spine, in 251 pages, glossy frontispiece. Condition is VG+: very clean, pages creamy white with light tanning to edges, but unmarked save for gift inscription to verso of ffep dated 1945. Binding strong & straight, hinges intact. Light rubbing to extremities, heavier at both ends of spine & corners. The unclipped DJ is a VG+ beauty: colorful & bright with very light rubbing to extremities & slight creasing & chipping; beautifully protected in new clear mylar cover free!
