First Edition, later issue with no additional printings listed, 7/6 net price to jacket, but lacking publisher's ads to rear. C. Morse-illustrated dust jacket. Red grain cloth lettered in black.
Dust jacket heavily restored by prior owner with archival tissue backing and color fills along edges and folds, with evidence of prior chips and tears at corners and spine ends and a split down rear spine fold; presently showing moderate to heavy smudging to rear with lighter smudges and some scuffs to front panel, and retaining a bit of a textured sheen to surface as a result of backing. Boards lightly edgeworn, with shallow bumps at corners and spine ends. Spotting to edges of text block, very briefly affecting internal margins in a couple instances, else interior unmarked. Binding is sound.
