About This Item
Philadelphhia: Hubbard Brothers, 1882. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. We are pleased to offer John W. Urban's glimpse into the events of the Civil War, his exploits in battle and the deprivations he suffered in several of the prison camps of the Confederacy, including the notorious Andersonville. Dark blue cloth over boards, title in gilt and black to the front board and spine. Measures 7 5/8" by 5 1/8"; pagination: [1-4] 5-486, frontis and fifteen plates. Overall very good. The textblock is square, hinges sound, slight wear to head and tail of spine, corners lightly bumped with slight wear through to boards, slight foxing to front free endpaper, else very clean interior with no prior owner markings. A very sharp copy.
