London : Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner & Co., 1892. Cloth. Good. 7.5" by 5". Hugh Thomson. An attractive little edition of Dobson's The Ballad of Beau Brocade. Dobson (1840-1921), was an English poet and essayist. With fifty illustrations by Hugh Thomson, who also designed the lavish embellishment evident on the boards. Two contemporary illustrations of groups of women have been tipped to recto of illustration list and recto of final page by a previous owner. Third edition. In a full cloth decorative binding. Externally, generally smart with some minor wear and bumping to extremities. Internally, generally firmly bound, frontispiece detached but present. Pages spotted throughout with heaviest concentration to title page and gutters. Good
