New York: Frederic A. Stokes, 1898 Light bluish/green bds with blind stamped titles and illustration to the FC, cloth spine. Extremely well preserved example. Many hand-written entries concerning a tot named Loring Townsend Clark from a rural New Hampshire town, born in 1915. Also a lock of hair taped onto the proper place/page. A very popular book with the full color frontispiece and 30 B&W illustrations, the contents are absolutely fine. Laid-in is a blank birth announcement card from that period, assumed one left over from the parents proud day.
