New York: A. C. Armstrong & Son, 1886. Worn but attractive reading copy of the first American edition, illustrated with engravings by Pym. Royal blue pictorial cloth over beveled boards lettered in gilt and silver gilt with floral garland designs in yellow, black and silver gilt, 174 pages. Covers rubbed with chipped and frayed spine ends, a waxy residue on the covers which shows up as a white sheen on the rear cover, hinges cracked, front free endpaper removed, text block shaken with some separation between some gatherings, pages lightly age-toned with numerous erased pencil scribbles, still entirely readable.. First US Edition. Hard Cover. Fair/No. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
