Garden City, NY: Crime Club/Doubleday, 1958. First Edition . Hardcover. Dust Jacket Included. First US Edition, very good in a very good- dust jacket. The gray cloth is slightly worn and there is minor spotting at the bottom of the pastedowns. The jacket has rubbing and small chips at spine ends, and the front panel has a tear and some creasing in the bottom third. Laid in is a complimentary slip from the publisher. Pargeter is best known for her Brother Cadfael mysteries under the pseudonym Ellis Peters.
