New York and London: G.P. Puthnam's Sons, 1901.. First edition. 4to. (ii), xii, 251, (1) pp. Publisher's gilt lettered and decorated brown cloth, top edge gilt, discreet ticket of the booksellers Brentano's, Paris to the rear pastedown. Frontispiece and 23 plates plus numerous illustrations in the text. Neatly recased and with repairs to the spine ends, some marking to the cloth, a decent copy overall. Riling, 1527, describing this as the deluxe issue, the trade edition having been bound in blue cloth.
