It includes a large fold-out map of Ohio by A. Bourne and J. Kilbourne "Description of the Antiquities Discovered in the State of Ohio and Other Western States" by Caleb Atwater. Also includes an article by Father Lewis Hennepin "Account of the Discovery of the River Mississippi... Johnson's Indian tribes of Ohio with a vocabulary of Shawannoes and Wyandotes. Original blue papered board back cover, lacking the front cover, loose and would benefit from a rebind. Pages uncut and much off setting of the text on the opposite page. Never the less a desirable copy of a scarce work. 8 vo, 436pp, text engravings, 14 plates, 7of them fold-out.
