Ownership signature and some foxing, still a very good copy.<br/> <br/> Detailed exposition of "his most important contribution to surgery" (Garrison) - the blocking of shock in operations by a combination of general and local anesthesia. The book is a culmination of brief articles written between 1899-1913. Scopolamine and morphine as employed by the authors played a great part in the surgery of the Western Front during the first World War (1914-18). See GM 5629.<br/> <br/>
