A collection of 56 articles by Civil War figures originally published in the Philadelphia Times. Includes "Fire, Sword and the Halter" by Gen. Imboden, "General Meade at Gettysburg" by Col. Biddle, "Lee in Pennsylvania" by Gen. Longstreet, and "Lee's West Virginia Campaign" by Gen. Long. 800 pp. Weak back hinge - the paper is mostly broken though but the cloth mesh is fine. Covers show minor wear at the extremes but generally a nice clean appearance -- brown cloth with gold stamping. ; 8vo .
